Wordful Wednesday-Painting

It's coming along. 3 sides (with the exception on one roof slope trim piece) are completely done. I'm loving the new colors. It appears as if others are too. I saw TWO people drive by yesterday taking pictures of the house. If I wasn't so flattered I would have flagged them down, for after all, they didn't ask permission. I mean, who does that really?

Wait. I do. I've been known to snap photos of random details on houses or in yards that I want to duplicate. Shhh. Don't tell.

This is my favorite part.....the front door (and my girls happily heading off to their first day of school in front of it). I always hated the original color. I LOVE this new one.

Look! My sugar maple is starting to turn. It's glorious decked out in it's full pink and red. I can't wait.

And here's before. With the nasty salmon colored front door and diarrhea (does anyone else have trouble spelling this word?) colored trim. Gone, all gone. (Insert sigh of satisfaction here.)

Okay, it seems that I'm a bit of a loser and that I like to live vicariously through other people. I pretended that was my house for a few minutes! lol

I'm just kidding. Sort of.

I actually had to split screen it, because I couldn't believe that with just a little bit of paint, your house has a whole new look. It's amazing.

BUT, is that a for sale sign in the yard?

Your house looks awesome. You sure you want to leave it? Are you planning to move far away? Sorry if I'm being too nosy. Inquiring minds, you know...:)

Robin said...

It looks fabulous. I'd never want to leave. (Then again, guests who never leave aren't really all that wonderful - better put back the salmon and diarhhea again to prevent that...)

You have wonderful taste, wonderful personality, a wonderful home, a wonderful door, wonderful husband, a wonderful tree and wonderful children.
If you weren't so wonderfully nice, you would be enviable.

It looks so beautiful Angie! I love the new color scheme and the new landscaping. It looks so wonderful together. I hope it helps you sell it faster so you can get down our way & we can meet :)

Kristin said...

Oooo, I thought you were painting your house. You have a BRICK HOUSE. Doors and trim and the tiny bit of siding...well, I was thinking it was a bit bigger job. Not to minimize your hard work man! The door is MUCH better. And yeah, I can never spell that word either. I won't even try here. And seriously, 50 comments already?! You have some serious fans. All the scrolling down I have to do, just to leave a comment... ;)

I really love your recipe site! I have been known to stop and covertly take photo's of some landscaping or house feature I like. It's funny that you mentioned it. I thought it was just me.

My favorite part is the door. I love the new color and how tall it is.

And... I always misspell the word diarrhea too. I always forget the "h."

Very nice!!!! I love the door. Yikes on the original color. I am not into loud exterior colors, I like nice pleasant colors that are on the earthy side. Nice choices!

Your house looks great!! Don't ya love it when a project is complete. Okay so I am a complete dork and have been checking your blog since Tues night for Mr. Linky. I missed the part where the jewelry post would remain at the top. I kept thinking where did Angie go??? On Vacation??? What about Wordful Wed? Did she forget?? Dork is me!!!

Shannon said...

Wow, what great curb appeal!!!! Is your house for sale? Maybe that was why they took a pic. But the stone wall, and that gorgeous grass is so pretty!!! Can't believe how much difference the door color makes, lol.

Beautiful! Is that a Jap. maple or a purple leaf plum? I love the color and size and have been looking for something like that for my backyard. Great retaining wall!
