And They Are Off...

That's right, people. My number 1, 2 and 3 started their new school year. Finally.

Don't get me wrong. I loved having them home for THREE WHOLE months, but, it was time. For all of us.

Thank goodness for the chaos of getting three children to their respective classrooms. Otherwise, I might have considered getting a little teary eyed. There's a first time for everything, you know. As it turned out, there were a lot, and I mean a lot of red-rimmed-eyed-parents. Lots of excited kids, and a few that were not so excited. Thank goodness mine fell into the excited category. I don't know what I'd do if I had to drop off a crier. That just tugs at the heart strings a little TOO much.

(She wasn't happy at first about being in a 4th/5th combo, but her smile is telling me a different story.)
(Second grade? No way!)
(Can we say Kindergarten?)

Oh. Oh. The best news of all?

My main water line burst last night.

Oh yes. No water. Let's just say that getting the kids out the door was interesting.
AND, I just discovered a bald spot on my head the size of a quarter. Can we say freak out?

Ick, school. I was a crier... and I'll be a crier as parent too! I had severe panic attacks that were linked mainly to school my entire school-aged life. It. Was. Awful. I'm talkin' serious stuff(councelors, psychs, meds... the whole nine). It makes my heart pound uncomfortably just looking at these pictures! Though, again... you have some seriously GORGEOUS children. They get me every time with their beauty!

I simply cannot stand how gorgeous your children are. It's kind of crazy. I'm a crier, too. Didn't expect to be, but I am.

So fun. I can't believe how big they are getting. Tell Grace the combo classes were Aunt Tiffs favorite.

Well that blows, about the water line. Good thing it wasn't your Internet that went out! Seriously, I can go a few days without water, but not Internet! Kill me already. Hope school went well:)

You're going to cry, I know I would! Your kids are beautiful by the way. And...lots of hand sanitizer until your water comes back on:)

I was mistaken in my last comment... I thought the little uggas were headed off to kindergarten! Sorry!

On a side note- your kids have the "California beach look" down pat! So cute!

Aww they look cute!

Our water line broke this past Winter, yeah, so not fun, had to have my yard dug up in the middle of the winter, my yard was preeettty nasty looking during the process, nothing like nasty brown snow everywhere. Luckily the grass grew back fast this spring. But our water pressure hasn't been the same since, not to mention we have now gone through 2 water meters since. Oy!

I am sorry to hear that you had a damp start but it sounds like everyone looks great and ready to go:-)

Gorgeous children! I love your oldest daughters hair. She should be in shampoo commercials.

For Emma, she was unsure of school the first week, but now she comes home just brimming with stories and excitement!

Adorable kids! The first day of school is rather hectic. But I seem to have less of a problem getting them up and there on time that first day. We are into school 3 weeks now and getting my second grader out of bed is like pulling nails out with your teeth. I just read your post from yesterday. Um, well I would fall in the same category as you. I worried a little with my kindergartner this year but I didn't shed any tears, and the letter was pretty cheesy.

I am having a hard time leaving a comment..blogger!
So what I meant to say was good luck holding and fluffling your twin cotton balls and missing your twins terribly for the little tidbit called kindergarten especially on early day! And your kids are all grown up ahhh! YOur daughter looks beautiful with that smile and that awesome hairdo! And your younger daughter is looking so grown up and practically your amazing twin!
Baldspot...holy crud. That same thing just happened to my daughter I was sorta freaking out but I think she just pulled it out accidentally or something cuz she has some tiny growth back in the bald spot.

Ok, all of your kids are just gorgeous, but your oldest?? OMG! Look at those curls! I would give my right arm for those!

She reminds me of Ashton... they look so much older than they really are! How do we stop this????

Your girls have absolutely gorgeous hair! So pretty!

I just have to say...I refer to my kids often by their birth order #s. That stuck out to me. ;) Your kids look absolutely gorgeous for the 1st day of school. I can't believe #1's curls!

I am SOOOO sorry to hear about your water. What a nightmare! I will be praying that it gets fixed very, very quickly.

And your bald spot?? Could it be from stress and being over-worked?? ;)

Your kids look so cute!!! And even though my kids are big now (17, 19, and 21), I'm glad to see that I'm not the ONLY one in the entire blog world that doesn't homeschool! There's nothing wrong with it at all, but that's all I ever see anymore. I love my kids dearly but boy do I like having my house back. Yeah, my bad. Have a great weekend ~ ♥

Awe, they're adorable! You left a comment on my site that the pictures weren't coming up. I checked and they seem to be working fine. Please check again and let me know if you still have trouble. Thanks!

Great first day photos. Eeek to the bald spot - better get your stress in check or start some Rogaine!

I always wear sunglasses the first day so no one can see what a wreck I am.

And that bald spot has got to be from sleeping funny and no shower to fix the be-head. Right?!

I hope you get your water fixed soon. Your kids are adorable. Have a wonderful school year.
