Wordful Wednesday-the roof

You're going to kill me. I know. I know. I promised the "big reveal" today. I worked really, really hard, yet I didn't accomplish what I needed to in order to tell you......or rather show and tell you. I will FOR SURE by next week, but until then, here's my wordful.

This is one of the things I contended with last week. We changed from a shake roof to composition and from 7:30 in the morning until 5:30 at night it was knock, knock, knock, thump, thump, thump overhead.

And did I mention that my husband was out of town the whole time? That lucky dog.

P.S. I'm so sorry to not have had Mr. Linky up sooner!

Lucky Dog is right! I would have had to plan something to get out of there for a while!

Yeah! Wordful Wednesday! And my 100th post. Woohoo! Great timing.

Live.Love.Eat said...

Ok, me again, not being selfish like I just was. Now I am thinking about your house. But in the back of my head I am thinking, WHERE'S MR LINKY????? :)

Doug & Stacy Fournier said...

Ok, I can't even try to catch up on your blog! Thanks for stopping by and welcoming me back! You look busy as usual. Congrats on all the blogging awards, I love your blog, and I plan on trying to keep up now! Have a great week!

Oh the roof looks really good!

JOCASTA. HAH!!!!
Angie, if you get 100 hits in 10 minutes, that would be me, clicking back and forth. Ha ha. Ok, I am looking at your picture, not being selfish. Son of a gun hubby leaving at such a time :) It's just that I am playing a game and now I am pretty obsessive about it.

Liz {Learning To Juggle} said...

The roof looks nice - I am looking forward to taking part in my first wordful wednesday!!!

Jocasta said...

Angie, if you get 200 hits in 10 minutes that would be me as well!

live.love.eat - knows nothing about obsession!!! It's a good thing it's only afternoon here so I can wait you out! Rats I did promise my kids a trip to the zoo!

Where's Mr Linky!!!!

S Club Mama said...

Oh that's one thing I'm glad we don't have to worry about in an apartment; I don't like roofing....and I say that like I've ever done it. Just Big A has done like a million roofs...takes forever.

Oh and I'm so ready to play along for WW tomorrow!

Rachael Schirano \\ Rachael Schirano Photography said...

i am glad you have a lovely new roof, sorry about the constant knocking and thumping though. it would have driven me mad...

sassy stephanie said...

Man, looks like your WW is a big hit! I've been way too lazy to join in the fun.

Good timing on the trip, Jeff!

Laura said...

I don't know how you survived last week. You are amazing!

tiarastantrums said...

A new roof is great---- constant banging and thumping, not so much ;)!

It was so fun to be featured alongside you at SITS today. I'm honored :)!

Carissa(GoodnCrazy) said...

You must be watching the debates... Where's Mr. Linky? :-) Mine's up!

Honey Mommy said...

That would drive me crazy! At least you get a nice roof out of all the noise!

Unknown said...

Oh, I got to hear this last week becauset the house behind me got a new roof. So noise but now new roof for me = no fair! ; )

Oh Mr. Linky, where art thou?

Susan said...

It seems a lot of houses in our development have been getting new roofs lately. The banging does start early. I hope we can get by for a few more years before we have to do that.

Mr. Liiiinky...where aaaaare youuuuu??

Anonymous said...

Congrats on your new roof..
Your husband is a pretty sneaky guy lol..to get out of having to listen to the thump thump thumps..
You deserve a spa day.. and you should tell him..lol. It's only fair right?

stefanie said...

Was the noise worth it?

Mine's up.

Stephanie said...

Ugh! Roofing is the WORST. The constant banging drives me crazy!!! But in the end it is good to have a good SOLID roof over your head!! Good luck!

Wendy said...

Okay, It took me all evening to get my WW post ready and I am all psyched to add my post to Mr. Linky and he is MIA!!! Looks like you are getting some of that grief over him being gone. What a great way to keep things interesting. Actually, I am guessing you have a straight jacket due to enduring the noise of the roofers and ...you just don't have hands free to properly display Mr. Linky.
He is missed!!!
Look forward to checking out all of the WW posts tomorrow!

Mamarazzi said...

oh roofing...yuck!!

where is mr linky? i will be back! mine is UP!

Unknown said...

Angie?? Where are YOU? Okay I hate to echo the sentiment of everyone else but WHERE IS MR LINKY? Do you have a headache? Has it stopped you from adding Mr. Linky? We're waiting.....

Casey's trio said...

Ha! You are being stalked...I'll be back in the morning.
And the knock-knock thump-thump would have driven me crazy.

Jennie said...

I want to participate, but what is wordful wednesday?

Cecily R said...

Haha! Your fans are going nuts!!! Next thing you know they will be storming your house looking for stuff of yours to sell on e-bay!

I'll come back tomorrow. :)

Jessica said...

I love that you have fans..me included..Lucky hubby being gone during that..How did nap time work for you??? Not so great I am thinking!

Rhonda said...

Well, see now your hubby hired someone and left.

My husband put his scared of heights wife up on the roof, and we did it ourselves.

I know. The Jerk.

lol

So, where is Mr. Linky?

Melissa said...

So do you like it?
How come your'e doing your house up when you're trying to sell it?

Unknown said...

Angie - sorry but I put the wrong link up the first time. Will you please delete it for me? Thanks.

I've had the knock, knock, thumping with reroofing a few years ago and now will have it again soon...hail storms that have wreaked havoc on our area too many times in the past few years have reroofed us, resided us, and so on..and it's a noisy process!!! Nice to have the roof redone though! :)

Carrie and Troy Keiser said...

But the new roof is worth it, yes?!

AutoSysGene said...

Holy cow you've been a busy girl! How lucky is Jeff that he missed all that noise. I think you need a vacation.

Robin said...

Sounds like a nightmare. That kind of constant noise drives me mental.

Anonymous said...

Aw geez. Look, she comes through with Mr. Linky.
What's NOT to love about Angie?
That's why it'll be easy to ignore the fact that she's dangling us with this secret.
I want to know what's going on by golly!!!

Brandy said...

Ugh the banging all day long would have drove me crazy or atleast out of the house! In the end though you will have a nice new roof.

Angie, I was cracking up this morning early reading the comments about Mr. Linky. It was getting late and I had to leave for work but I was totally planning to put a pic of Richard Gere up on my site (my fav) and say he was Mr. Linky in disquise and went MIA to my site for the day. When I got to work you had it up and running so the idea was bust..but wanted you to know your commenter were in good humor!

Jaysi said...

Sorry I am so late...but better late than never.

That is horrible. And the fact that your husband was gone is like icing on the cake. I hope he brought something fun back for you....like a new pair of shoes or something fabulous.

Caitlin said...

okay, sorry I'm new here. Would you mind explaining wordful wednesday to me? I would love to participate next week...from looking at some other posts, it looks like maybe a word-theme-picture of the day? Am I right? Sigh.. Sorry to be so slow.
Thanks!
