Right before we moved Emma decided it was high time she shed some hair. I really, really didn't want her to cut it, but she was tired of the tangles so we went for the big cut. My sister in law (whom you all know now as "she that leaves no stone unturned") was gracious enough to do the honors and snipped 10 inches. I don't think I've ever seen such a happy hair cutting camper. Emma beamed the WHOLE time and has been thrilled with her new do. It doesn't hurt that she was able to donate all that goodness to help another child either.

Man, that's some gorgeous hair! I like the new do! She's beautiful!
She has THE most incredibly gorgeous hair, and even after the cut it's still beautifully long. Plus, she's helping a sick child who's out there somewhere.
Definite win-win.
I also love that hair. She's a beauty.
oh lord, this kid is gorgeous. and glamourous. and GIVING! what's with your genetics??? i'm starting to get a little annoyed...
she's got her good deed taken care of for a while. sweet girl.
Nice. Learning to help others and still loves herself. Keep smiling sweetness!! GB!
That Locks of Love child will be getting the most beautiful hair ever! That is so wonderful. She is just gorgeous!
Wow, look at all that beautiful red hair.
Even with it 10 inches shorter it still looks great.
Oh to have untouched young hair, huh?
What a beautiful head of hair your child is blessed with.. and what a loving kind heart too...
I imagine she's loving her new do; she's got "swingability" now.
Quite a doll you got there!
holy moly! that's a lot of hair. what a wonderful thing she did by donating it. her new cut looks adorable, and is still pretty long.

she has the most beautiful hair... women would kill for hair like that... it is still beautiful even a little shorter.
Oh my goodness...I love her new haircut. She has beautiful hair and how wonderful that she donated it.
What gorgeous hair! And such a special treasure to get a beautiful cut and donate your hair! Beautiful!
How great! And can you even believe how long her hair still is?!? 2 of 8 has LOOOONGGG hair and will occasionally allow us to harvest some of it!
Blessings!
What gorgeous Locks! Someone will be so thrilled. Can't believe she still has long hair after the cut. No wonder she got tangles!
Wow! Her hair was LOOONG! It looks very cute now- thick and healthy too. Beautiful!!!
I'm going to show these pictures to my daughter. Her hair is just as long but she already has an attachment to...no doubt created by me. I'm trying to convince her that donating it to Locks of Love would be awesome and that her hair would grow back quickly. Maybe seeing that your daughter still has length to her hair might convince her. Thanks!
I love the haircut! Natalie recently got hers cut off too. She had been begging me for a haircut but I liked it long.
I'm Jealous in more than one way! I wish I had her hair and wouldn't it me so nice to have a little girl to do her hair! Oh well, what can I say, I was blessed with boys. Good for her, she looks beautiful.
First of all, I would commit highway robbery to have hair that color. GORGEOUS!
Second, her hair is beautiful long, but wowza--I am loving it "shorter." She is beautiful, and definitely has a future as a Pantene model. Way to go, Emma!

I'm so jealous - My daughter has NEVER had a hair cut and it is just to her shoulders - I dont' think baby girl will have long hair with all those curls!!!!
Wow! It was REALLY long if she's donating that much and it still is lengthy. It is so beautiful!
Her hair is so gorgeous even after the cut. You are so green!
I would have done almost anything for that hair as a kid (I dreamed of being just like Crystal Gale when I saw her in Sesame Street once. In fact, I even prayed about it)!!! It's GORGEOUS!
The cut looks fabulous and KUDOS to her for donating it!!!
Wow, good for her - now that's the spirit of giving! :-) She looks very happy indeed. Carmi's Thematic Photographic theme this week is happy - you should post this entry there :-)

You'll both be happier combing through it now after bath time, and it's still as beautiful as ever. :)
She looks like a pretty little mermaid! I'd LOVE to have hair like hers! I donated my hair once, what a sweet, sweet little girl!
Bye bye hair. When I was her age, I had hair that long. And I begged my paretns to cut it short, but they didn't let me until I was like 12:) Kids should decide what they want to do on their own. Its gorgeous hair.

She looks great and someone else will too with her hair. So sweet of her to donate the snipped pony. B plans on doing the same with her hair when it gets long enough.
It would have caused me physical pain to see that hair go.. Oh. My. But like you said... good cause and all. I went with my sister to cut off 18 inches of her hair to donate... the hairdresser let me do the honors and cut off the braid... and my sis looks fab with short hair...
Wow. I would love to have her hair. It still looks absolutely gorgeous at its new "shorter" length

10" and she still has a lot left! It will be a shock for her for awhile when she goes to touch it and her hand falls off the bottom.

Love redheads, being one myself, out of my 5 kiddos; I only have one who is almost red (more strawberry blonde). My eldest donated her hair, but she didn't have 10 inches; so she donated to Beautiful Lengths by Pantene. I'm considering doing that myself as well. Hair cutting party anyone?
How sweet! Love these pictures!
