The Big Reveal Celebration

In honor of being able to spill the beans, and this big change in my life, I'm having a party. Well, it's not really a party for you, but it is for me. See, I love a good giveaway, and I LOVE what I'm giving away so it's super fun for me.

Up for grabs is this Lia Sofia necklace (retails for $130) that is Oh-So-Gorgeous-On and I almost kept for myself. Almost.

To enter, all you have to do is tell me what the best place is that you've ever lived, and then write an essay expounding on the statement. I want to make this as easy on you as possible. :)

Alright, no essays. But, I do want to know your favorite abode.

Want a second entry? Or third, fourth or fifth? Tell me that you can't get through the day without stopping in to see me. Even if it's not true. Or, any old compliment will do. Again, seperate comment(s) please.

I will ship internationally, BUT, this giveaway is only open to MY readers and their friends. It's my way of thanking those that have been there for me through thick and thin......or more appropriately, rain and shine.

I've been ou of the loop over the weekend and recoverin a sick hubby, so I had to log on to see what you were up to. I was so pleasantly surprised to see a post from you and tat you're doing a giveaway! All these entries are cracking me up and you SO DESERVE all of the fabulous comments...well, because you're fabulous! I hope things are settling in well. I can't wait to hear all of the details about the move. I'm missing your daily posts but I will be patient and stay strong! Ha! Ha!

My most fave place that I lived was Germany. I loved the different culture, that traveling to other countries was so easy, and the people were so friendly and family oriented. I also loved how we could walk everywhere! We never even locked our doors. I feel at home where we are now because it is where we are raising our family, but if I could pick up everyone and head over seas I would. :o)

Thanks for the opportunity to win a fab necklace - glad your back!

By the way, you sexy sunshine hoarder, I once lived in Tucson and I liked it there too. Except during the summer. Then it was like living on the surface of the sun!

I am a new reader but I really enjoy your blog and stop by when I get the chance! My favorite place that we lived is in Savannah, GA. It was the only time that we actually lived "in town" as opposed to living in the country. Not only is the city historic and beautiful with all the mossy oaks, it has all the squares which were great to hang out in on lunch breaks. Although I love the home we are in now, I do miss Savannah a lot!

OMG! Were you expecting this much feedback! That's AWESOME! Well, I absolutely have to say kailua, Hawaii on Oahu. Absolutely beautiful! Absolutely breathtaking! Expensive, most definitely, but amazing! We lived there for six years!

We are a military family and after my husband and I were first married we lived at Ft Drum in upstate NY. It was nice. Then ten months later my husband, our two dogs and myself loaded up and drove 4500 miles to Ft Wainwright Alaska. It was there that we celebrated our 1st anniversary sitting in an outdoor hotspring at -20 degrees! A few days later we found out we were pregnant with our first child. We had our second son 18 months after our first was born. We were there for just under 6 years and loved everything about Alaska!

We're stuck in Missouri for now, well he's in Iraq so I guess Missouri sounds pretty good!

We want to go back to Alaska as soon as we possibly can. We plan to move there when we're finished living this military life.

Well, I'm a little bit late, but I'm here. My favorite place to live was in Washington State. No certain house or town, just near the Seattle area. I grew up there and I miss it so much! (Live in Tennessee now.)

Oh, and I'm loving your Wordful Wednesdays and your blog. So glad I found it a few weeks ago.

So I'm comment 215! Holy Cow girl! How will you ever pick just one?!
Well let's see where is the best place I've ever lived? I really liked growing up in the Missoula< MT area.... But I think {and this even surprises me} I really like living right here where I am, Glendive, MT! Even though we have the cold COLD in the winter and some days are seriously HOT in the summer, I like it. We are close enough to country living yet still enjoy most of the conveniences of city life {we haven't got a walmart or a target, but we survive. I know I won't win, but thanks for the opportunity to reflect on where I've lived.

Wow, you've gotten a lot of comments. I found your blog through Cutie Booty Cakes! My favorite places to live are New York City for everything it has to offer and Santa Barbara for the weather.

I love your blog..Oh your blog is the best..oh I can't go a day without looking, and when you were gone for a week, it felt like forever:)..How's that???
I have lived all over..can I pick two places??? I lived in Bromley England which was about 15 minutes outside of London. I loved how we could walk everywhere. To get groceries, a pizza, shop, the city. And if you take a short drive you see some magnificient countryside. I do love England. While I was there we went to this place called The Isle of Wight. It was one of the greatest places I have ever been. Full of B&B's, thatch roof houses, and surrounded by water and pebble beaches.

Well I guess I'm #221 (and i'll be 222 also 'cause I'ma come bk and tell you how wonderfully great your blog is, but that'll be in a different post just so it can count for an extra entry, ok?)

Well, my most favorite of all places that I've lived is.......... ((drumroll please))
Garden Grove, California... aka southern cali. Just because that's where hubby and I lived together for the 1st time and where we brought our 1st born daughter home with us, so that place takes the cake. It holds a very special place in my heart.

So there you go... now give me my necklace. i have the perfect outfit for it!!!

How is it going in your new place. i STILL am trying to get settled in and you are already unpacked. You ROCK! How are the ks adjusting to the new school?

Debra said...

Oh yeah.. LOL

North Dakota. I know.. WHO would want to live there. But it was the best place I have ever lived. Small, close town. Stores STILL closed until noon on Sunday. Everyone was in church Sunday morning. Even the Mobile Home Parks were kept up very nice.... flowers planted, etc.. I left my van door OPEN one day when I went in for a 2 hr dr appt and NOTHING was stolen. My purse was sitting on the front seat and I had 4 Britax Car Seats. Everything was still there.

So as I'm typing this I'm comment number 225. This giveaway has brought out the lurkers!! So, if/when you make it through your inbox to read MY comment....remember your faithful reader gals *wink*

My favorite place to live was my childhood farm. There are so many life values, lessons, and memories to capture in few words....if only I could move my current home and family there...that would be perfect.

I'll stick to one comment - I'm sure you're on overload! You are adored by moi:)

Honey Mommy said...

I wanted to tell you that your children are absolutely adorable. They probably take after you!

I so want this necklace..please, please, please!!! :) My favorite place that I have lived would have to be New York City. Hubby and I moved there the year after we were married and lived and worked there for 3 years. We had a blast...we moved back to Florida when our son was born but we had so much fun being "city folk" for awhile. The best food, theatre and everything...all within walkign distance, cab ride or subway ride away! Now, can I please have that necklace?????

Anonymous said...

Just for the heck of it...I'll enter again! Hope you are getting settled and we cannot wait to see house pictures!!

Have I ever told you how much I love Lia Sophia? Or jewelry?? Mmmmm...pretty...

My favorite house is the one I spent most of my childhood in. I have so many beautiful, long-lasting memories of our ranch...holidays, birthday parties, egg hunts in the backyard, getting the flu for the first time and getting to stay home and eat toast and jello and 7up all day while watching Planet of hte Apes on my mom's little black and white tv that she set up in my room that day, the tree house my dad and uncles built, the time my bro and I threw a "circus" in our backyard for hte neighorhood kids, picking cherries from our very own cherry tree, helping my dad plant tomatos and other yummy veggies...aaaahhhh, memories!

I stumbled across your page almost a year ago from Laura's. I am one of your blog stalkers, not big into commenting if you don't know me! hah hah
Best placed I ever lived was San Jose, CA. I grew up there and now just bought a home here, so I am back!
Best weather, countless things to be entertained by, great shopping, great food.... I mean come on.... The most expensive city to live in the US has got to be worth living there for! PS welcome to CA!

Sara said...

Oh, and I moved into a house the same weekend you did. BUT I only have 2 kids (not twins) AND I didn't sell another house AND I only moved 30 miles....so, my "busy week" you could handle while doing your nails or something. hah hah

I'm a new reader as I have just discovered your blog and I LOVE it! I had never heard of the type of twins you have, and they are just adorable!! Sounds like you have a very busy life. I am quite happy with the place that I live right now...I have lived here in Upstate NY longer than I have lived anywhere else. We have a little bit of everything here, so I would highly recommend it!! We are only a 3 hour drive to Toronto and only an hour and a half from Niagara Falls if we decide to visit Canada and there is so much to see here in NY...just love it here! I've added you to my bloglist! Blessings!!

Well, I have lived all over the US. Five different states, 7 different schools and my favorite place was a little town called Walton, NY. It was my wonder years of life. I am now a CA girl, but miss the east coast especially this time of year.

My favorite place that I lived was Okemos, MI. It's right next to East Lansing where MSU is. It's a wealthy community but that means that the schools were superb and since it's a university town, the cultural diversity was outstanding. We had a wonderful cozy home in a wonderful and friendly neighborhood and I had a ton of friends in the area. It was the first town I had lived in that I knew I wanted to live there forever and I've moved 16 times since getting married. Unfortunately, I am currently living someplace else and I cried and cried and cried when we moved here. I would say that I've adjusted to being here but I would move in a second if I could. Now I can see that the real purpose in our being here was to be nearby for our aging parents. We lost 3 of the 4 within the last year and I'm grateful that we were here to spend as much time with them as we did before they left us.

I like your blog because I can see that you are a genuinely sweet person and it comes through.

I love this necklace!! My favorite place to live was on the farm with Luke in our trailer, before and after we got married. Our lives were all about falling in love, being in love...nothing else mattered....

What an amazing post, and I'm so glad I found your blog a few days ago.

I know I'm probably too late but this is good for me ... it has made me think of all the places hubby and I have lived, coast to coast and all in between.

If I were forced to pick a favorite, it would be YORKTOWN, VIRGINIA, where my first child was born. We lived across from the battlefields, and we were within 20 minutes of Old Williamsburg. It was a quaint, wonderful place, ful of history, and since we left there in 1975, I've never been able to go back.
