It's no surprise that I'm wearing....

JEANS.

I wasn't planning on playing today. But, then I found this picture that one of the twins took of...my leg yesterday. Not a big shocker that I'm wearing jeans.

These particular jeans are really cute on the hanger, and are made......for a junior. I bought them because they were clearanced down to $12.00. Once I washed them though, they lost their shape, which made them look more mature, and suddenly the rise seemed a whole lot shorter. So, for $12.00 they are a good pair to wear around the house, but they aren't the greatest for leaving the house. Because of the rise. Made for juniors. Note to self. Not a junior. Steer clear of jeans cut for teenagers. Too low.

Hmm yes, I can't stand it when I put on a junior pair of jeans by mistake. It just ain't right. $12 though is great! LOL

I've made that mistake too. Yikes!

too funny - rise in the back or rise in the legs?? I always shop in the juniors! too funny! I guess I can get away with it b/c I am super short and have no waist - all leg!

I have a great pair of yoga pants, same problem. It does not help that I have a freakishly high rise and stumpy legs. *sigh*

I love kid photos and what they like to photograph. :)

i had to start buying longer t-shirts to go with my newer jeans b/c of that problem. :)

hehe. Thanks for reminding me to steer clear of the juniors section of stores! I would get the pop-over effect w/low-rise jeans. ;)

Really though, I love the stitching on those - cute!

i got it right!! i guessed jeans before i read the post! that must mean we really ARE BFFS!

smart move, sicking with the leg shot, although i suspect the rest of you look drop dead gorgeous, too.

I couldn't shop in the Jr department even if I wanted to. Between the hips and bottom, uh yeah, not an option.

Mandy said...

Yeah I don't go near the junior dept anymore, my taste has changed with age, not to mention my body!!!!!!!

Diane said...

yea, i gotta be careful about jeans now. i'm getting old... :(

Cute! I like the side stitching!
PS- Apparently the new phrase for plumber's crack is now "coin slot." Which totally cracks me up.

How low can ya go? Its the style..

So funny. I have never bought a junior pair of jeans however I did make the mistake to buy frankie B...haha. They were low in the store but after washing they were ridiculous. My hubby calls them my plumbers jeans...that I also never wear outside LOL

Oh what I wouldn't give to have a Jr size pair of jeans that fit at least one leg!! lol

At least you can say that you are "able" to shop in the juniors...if you "want" to, right!! :)
And who can pass up $12 jeans...woohoo!!

Pat yourself on the back for being able to wear that size. Very nice!

latree said...

at least you can wear it around the house :D

Susie said...

I never did like the low rise. Probably because I am a wide rise, hee, hee, hee:-)

Jen said...

those are cute but I can just imagine the low rise.

Amanda said...

haha, if I remember the rise in a junior jean these days is about 4 inches, maybe less. Can you imagine putting your teen in that...umm not me, my daughter is only 3, but I can't imagine it. Good for the house though, and a HUGE congrats on being able to fit into some junior jeans!!!!

scrappysue said...

i'm not sure if i wanna play. i jsut got back from helping my daughter with her paper run and i'm all sweaty!!!

Kimber B Photography said...

Ooohhhh, I can't stand low rise either. Not even sure I could wear them around the house. I'm sure they're cute on you though.

Susie said...

um, I can't decide which would be better if this was me, the $12.00 or the fact I actually fit into junior jeans. One would be cause for joy, and the other would most certainly require oxygen!
I absolutely think though that if I did fit into those jeans--I would wear them out everywhere I went--no matter how low--seriously I'd be that thrilled.
Of course I am only in my 8th week and am the size of a 9th monther --no kidding-- right now, so I am vicariously living through you!
That was fun! Thanks Angie!

I'm not sure I fit into a "junior" pair of jeans even when I was the appropriate age...but a $12 pair of jeans is nothing to sneeze at! Listen, I'm having another Pop'rs Giveaway, starting Feb. 8. Uncle Lynn and I want to do a Bloggy Film Festival. Any chance I convince you and yours to make a short video, to showcase your Pop'rs Love? Please let me know!

Made that same mistake last week. I need to stop buying things that fit perfectly brand new, after they meet the dryer I'm left with a hemline too high and a rise too short.

CC said...

I actually have decided not to wear jeans at all during the week days. Why? Because I have to throw all my clothes from work immediately into the wash (too much spit and germs on them) and I like to wear my jeans 2 days in a row! ;)

There is nothing junior about me now... maybe my IQ.

Bonnie the Boss said...

Jr section jeans are so not an issue for me! Wish it was.
Hey, I don't know if I already asked you or not, or if it has already been discussed. Were you part of an article in the Ensign a few months back?

bichonpawz said...

Good for you....$12 for jeans is great! And they look really cute in the picture!!

Michelle said...

LOL! I'm so not a Junior!

I have one pair of too low low rise jeans. Can only wear them with a really long top or at an event that doesn't require sitting or bending over.

Kristin said...

I wear jeans 99% of the time. Those are cute. No juniors for me.

You post a picture of your legs in jeans and get 40 comments. I could solve world hunger and get less... ;)

I wish I loved jeans. Gimme some cotton capri pants anyday but no jeans and no jr jeans. Hmmm something to aspire to!! The only problem is I am so tall even if I get super duper skinny I can't fit into jr jeans!!

Today I am wearing a blanket.....because it is FREEZING :)!

crazy thing about those low rise jeans is the mile of butt crack in the back... lol... :)

April said...

haha! i've so been there :-)

They look cute but I suppose looks can be deceiving.

Threeundertwo said...

I love that picture - it's really artistic actually.

And frankly, there are a lot of teens who shouldn't be wearing those jeans either.

imbeingheldhostage said...

I can't imagine ever having a problem of buying Junior jeans. If I could fit in a pair, I think I'd wear them outside with the size tag showing and not care about the rise ;-)

Mozi Esme said...

Got it! I personally am tired of my underwear showing every time I bend forward...

Anonymous said...

I'll bet they were awfully cute on first wearing though! :)

Stephanie said...

They look cute from here! I guess it's a good thing the shot is of your leg and not your "junior butt cleavage!!"

Heather said...

The stitching looks adorable! I'm guilty of shopping in the junior's section too. They have way cuter clothes over there!!

Philigry said...

i know i have a few pairs like this. my kids are always telling me my butt crack is hanging out. i think they have tried to put coins down there too.
i have to say, i do love (some) of those new high waisted jeans. so comfy, and no crack!

I haven't been in Jr size since I was uummmm very young!! I don't like Jr clothes or the way they make girls look. Somehow I got lucky and got a girl that knows a girls should have shape and not be a pole!!

Have I ever told you that I wear jeans about once a year?? LOL Ok, maybe a little more, but not much. I so hate trying to find nice jeans that fit a fat chick.
