Wordful Wednesday-Climbing in trees

*Wordful Wednesday is for those of us that like to showcase a photo(s) but that just can't seem keep our mouths shut about it(them). If you'd like to play along, post a photo on your blog, and let the words roll. Feel free to "capture" my 7 Clown Circus button on the left to link back to me, and be sure to add yourself to Mr. Linky. Thanks for playing along!

My children love to climb trees.
I love to watch them.
It reminds me of me. I used to love to climb trees, too.

Beautiful shot. My children are little tree monkeys too. Heck, they get it from me, because I was at their age, too. I might not be able to anymore, but momma could climb a tree. Oh yes, momma could ;)

Nice Tree. Oh kid too!

And from below. Get this. All three of my kids wake to their own alarm clocks. I'm not kidding. I don't set an alarm clock anymore? They are like little weird robots, I swear?

Youngest will climb in with us in middle of the night but not so bad lately.. he really likes to sleep in a room with a sibling, then he doesn't find us as often!

This reminds me how my son has never climbed a tree. I guess we don't have climbable trees or he's just not that adventurous. Great picture though. Is this from the same photo shoot from all the others. Wow, you got a lot of good ones.

My brother loved to climb trees...in fact, he climbed a pine tree in the mountains of Colorado once. He got scared and wanted my dad to get him. But, the limbs were too short to hold my dad, so we had to talk him down, all the while he was about 4 or 5 stories up. The very ironic thing is...before he came down, my mom HAD to get a picture of him. I am sure she would have blogged about it had she had one at the time!

One of my favorite climbing trees memories from childhood involves purple stains on clothes, fingers, and faces. We had a huge mulberry tree on my parent's farm, and spent many lazy summer days perched in it!

Cute pic!

I was a tree climber right up through my college days... I remember skipping a Philosophy class one day, I ran into the professor after the missed class and he asked where I was... I admitted that I was climbing trees and he told me that it was a much better use of my time...

That is such a cool picture! I want to make the kids a treehouse SO bad, but I'm not sure we have a tree that will really work. My inlaws cut down a willow tree that was awesome for the kids to climb. Grrrrrr...I was mad, but it is their tree so I guess I can't complain:)

I love this pic. It reminds me of the days I was a major tree climber myself and all of the neighborhood boys were afraid to climb trees.
....There I was safely perched at the top of a pecan tree. All of the boys struggled to climb the lower limbs as I pelted them with green pecans.
