Tribute Tuesday-Favorite Blog or Blogger?

For Tuesday's Tribute this week I'm supposed to spotlight my favorite blog or blogger. Since that's like asking me who my favorite child is, I'm going to have to bind my fingers (you know, instead of zipping my lips) so that I can't incriminate myself or hurt anyone's feelings.

Really, I have about a gazillion favorite blogs. And even more favorite bloggers. So, let me pass out this little tidbit instead:

The gals at Mayhem & Moxie are going to enter ALL Tribute Tuesday participants in weekly giveaway drawings. Prizes change weekly. How cool is that?

I'd also like to personally thank the women that sent in nominations for teachers in need in conjunction with the "A Day Made Better" Campaign by OfficeMax. Winner of the pay-it-forward giftcard will be notified via email today.

Tuesday's Tribute-My own Dot Com

1581884212_57276dd550_o

Look at the super cute new Tribute Tuesday button. Remember, Mr. Linky will be hosted at Mayhem & Moxie starting next week. Not this week. But next week. This week you can find Mr. Linky here. Scratch that. Mr. Linky is MIA. Again. If he appears, great. If not. I guess there's no linking up this week. Sorry.

Today I tribute my very own DOT COM. That's right! I have my very own 7 Clown Circus domain. Now, you can find me at http://www.7clowncircus.com/.

Yahoo.

Don't worry, you can still access my site with my blogspot address (http://www.angiescircus.blogspot.com/), so it doesn't change anything for you, but it makes me feel more important.

And, you all know how feeling important makes me feel. Um. Important. And special. :)

I'd also like to draw your attention to the OfficeMax/GNO pay-it-forward contest going on now, here. Nominate a teacher that could use some school supplies and if your entry wins, I'll send you a $100 OfficeMax giftcard that you can then give to the teacher for supplies. Such a cool contest, if I do say so myself.

Day 2: Tuesday's Tribute

Let me just tell you up front that I am {figuratively} taking my life in my hands by writing this post about one of my favorite aspects of summer. My husband. I know that he'd prefer that I didn't. I know that I shouldn't. But I can't NOT. You see, this summer my husband was able to take tons of time off from work, so it seemed like I had him to myself for the duration of the vacation. Which is rare. And special.

It's no secret that I think he's pretty spectacular, and sometimes, even though he hates attention, I tell people. In this case, a lot of people. I just won't tell him how many people. (smile).

Jeff just happens to be my husband of over a decade. {Yes, I WAS bragging there.} He's smart. Really, really smart. I pride myself on being at least moderately intelligent, but (and it does pain me to say this) his intelligence far exceeds mine. The guy has a mind like a steel trap. He doesn't forget anything (unless it's the items I asked him to pick up at the store), and he retains information like no one I've ever met before.

He can do just about anything he sets his mind to. Not only can he tell me about physiological functions, or the molecular make up of a substance, he can lay tile, produce amazing wood work, AND he has a great eye for design. I thought most people were either right or left brained, but this guy seems to excel at both right and left brained activities. It's kind of not fair.

He's a super-duper husband, and a fantabulous father. He's a wonderful provider, and he makes us all feel safe.

Plus, he's pretty darn handsome.

Getting him almost all to myself for the summer? Definitely special. And memorable.

Don't forget to head over to Mayhem & Moxie to read about what other people think of their summer vacation. AND, just a reminder, Tuesday's Tribute will be hosted at Mayhem & Moxie from here on out.

Now, how about a few visits with our trusty and well traveled Mona?

Today, on Tuesday, September 22, you'll find Moxie Mona at the following locations:

Minnesota: The Extraordinary Ordinary
Nebraska: Newly Wed, Newly Bred
Iowa: Fighting Off Frumpy
Wisconsin: Ann Rant’s
Illinois: Look It’s Megryansmom
Kansas: Superdumb Supervillian

That Moxie Mona sure gets around. Wanna join me as she heads South?

New Mexico: Color Me Untypical Texas: Baby Makin(g) Machine, A Southern Fairytale, June Cleaver Nirvana, and Tree, Root, and Twig Oklahoma: Decisionally Challenged Arkansas: A Daily Dose of Toni

Tomorrow here at 7 Clown Circus, Wordful Wednesday will be going on as usual. If you want a prompt, it's easy. Favorite travel destination. Recycling is perfectly acceptable. Just so you know. :)

The links to my fab giveaways going on this week can be found in my right side bar.

Tuesday's Tribute

Tuesday's Tribute

What is it?
Well, we'll tell you what it is NOT... It's Not About YOU. It's about SOMEONE ELSE. It's our chance, each of us, to shine our light on someone else.

This week, I'd like to shine my light on Mayhem & Moxie AND Tuesday's Tribute.

I've loved being the hostess of Tuesday's Tribute after Jay from Halftime Lessons turned the reins over to me, but it's time for a new owner. I'll still be participating, just not hosting.

Tuesday's Tribute will be going to 2 hostesses with the mostesses. Francesca and Kacey, former writers for 3 Bay B Chicks just launched their new blog, Mayhem & Moxie and Tuesday's Tribute will be a fixture there. So, be sure to show them your support by linking up your Tuesday's Tribute at their site, starting on Tuesday, September 22nd. I have a feeling they are going to breathe new life into Tuesday's Tribute, and that's such a wonderful thing. For all of us.

Let the Tribute's continue.

Tuesday's Tribute-Moxie Media

Don't forget to enter to win my Famous Footwear $100.00 giftcard giveaway, here.

Tuesday's Tribute

What is it?
Well, we'll tell you what it is NOT... It's Not About YOU. It's about SOMEONE ELSE. It's our chance, each of us, to shine our light on someone else.

Huh? Whaddya mean?
We each spend a lot of time talking about ourselves and our lives, but we are also fairly GIVING people too...Tuesday's Tribute is a chance to talk about OTHER people, OTHER blogs, OTHER lives.

Now's your chance to shine your light on someone, or something else.

1581884212_57276dd550_o

Go ahead. Click on the image. Then tell me what you think.

Doesn't Moxie Media have the coolest web design?

I'm so excited about this new adventure that I can hardly contain myself. Moxie Media contains a group of forward thinking bloggers that are committed to sharing their stories in a non-traditional way via social media campaigns. "Moxie Media is the comprehensive web advertising tool that businesses need in order to build brand awareness, drive traffic, and boost sales among women" (since as women, we know women).

Moxie Media is going to LAUNCH September 21st with a week long (5 business days), 70 plus participant trip around the blogosphere. It's going to be so much fun, you won't want to miss it. And pssst......a few days before the launch, check back here. I'm going to be giving away almost $500.00 worth of goodies.

Hum. I've turned it back to me again. I'm not very good at this, am I?

Bottom line. Moxie Media is something I'm totally excited about. It took a tremendous amount of work and dedication to get to this point (thank goodness it was in exceptional company). I'm hoping it'll change the way we market on blogs. I'm excited for all the possibilities, for the potential. I'm excited, period.

Tuesday's Tribute-Twisted Silver

Tuesday's Tribute

What is it?
Well, we'll tell you what it is NOT... It's Not About YOU. It's about SOMEONE ELSE. It's our chance, each of us, to shine our light on someone, or something else.

Huh? Whaddya mean?
We each spend a lot of time talking about ourselves and our lives, but we are also fairly GIVING people too...Tuesday's Tribute is a chance to talk about OTHER people, OTHER blogs, OTHER lives.
Let's talk Twisted Silver for a moment, shall we?

I *HEART* Twisted Silver jewelry. Like, LIKE. LIKE. it. It's my favorite. If you haven't checked them out. You must.

{Now on to the part about me that technically doesn't belong in a Tuesday's Tribute post}:

I was selected to be a "Twisted Insider."

" These chic blogs have been chosen for their sense of individual style, their relentless pursuit of all things fashionable, their creative writing style and the overall coolness of their loyal readers.
As a team, TWISTED INSIDERS will receive free un-released Twisted Silver designs from the upcoming SALVAGE line every month. They will post their reviews for all to read, and many will host contests where readers can try their luck at winning a bit of Twisted."

Exciting, exciting news. For me, and you.

By being a Twisted Insider, I get to review new Twisted Silver pieces that have not been released. And then, one of you gets a piece just like the one I got. That's a new Twisted Silver piece EACH month for the next SIX months.

Can you say yahoo?

Tuesday's Tribute-Betty Smith, WNBA

Tuesday's Tribute

What is it?
Well, we'll tell you what it is NOT... It's Not About YOU. It's about SOMEONE ELSE. It's our chance, each of us, to shine our light on someone else.

Huh? Whaddya mean?
We each spend a lot of time talking about ourselves and our lives, but we are also fairly GIVING people too...Tuesday's Tribute is a chance to talk about OTHER people, OTHER blogs, OTHER lives.

Now's your chance to shine your light on someone else.

I've had a first edition copy (picked up at a second hand store) of A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith for over a year now. It's been on my "to read" list for ages.........I should have read it long ago, but I kept bumping it for other pieces of literature (most turned out to be trash) that seemed more exciting.

I finally started the book, and I can tell already it's going to be a favorite.

So, here's to you, Ms. Smith, for writing a wonderfully lasting novel.

I love your prose.

I can't wait to read more.

What did you think of A Tree Grows in Brooklyn?

Also, if any of you are WNBA fans, be sure to visit HERE. The One to One Network has some great deals on the remaining games in the regular season.

Tuesday's Tribute-Friendship

I LOVE me some guest posting, so just like last Tuesday, I'm here, but not really here.

I'm here.

I put some thought into this one, so feed my ego and go over and read it.

Pretty please?

This week Mr. Linky is hosted below.

Tuesday's Tribute-My Sister

I'm mixing things up a bit today.

Even though I'm here, I'm not really here.

I'm HERE.

Think of it as a scavenger hunt, but without a bunch of stops.

Just one.

You don't even have to ask for anything.

Just read. And link. Easy Peasy.

Or something else.

I'm not a big peanut butter fan.

Some peanut butter is OK. Brands like Laura Scudder's fall into this category. You know, the type with peanut oil on the top that you have to stir in yourself?

Brands of peanut butter like Jiff or Skippy (which my kids like) leave me never wanting to eat peanut butter again.

There is ONE exception to my "not-a-big-peanut-butter-fan" rule.

Olde Style Honey Roasted Peanut Butter from the Hadley Fruit Orchard in Cabazon, CA.

Seriously could eat this Peanut Butter by the Tablespoonful. If it was slurpable, I probably would.

So, my tribute goes to the makers of seriously-the-best-peanut-butter in the world.

And, to JumpStart. A company whose products I can stand behind and whom I really enjoy working with.

*I was not in any way compensated (or solicited) for this tribute.

Tuesday's Tribute-being settled

Now's your chance to shine your light on someone else.

Or something else, as the case may be.

This week I chose to Tribute the state of being settled.

It's one of those things that I know I take for granted until I'm un-settled. And let me tell you, this move has been, well, unsettling. Jeff and I have worked our hind ends off, and it's all finally come together.

We are offically moved in, and all that is left to do are finishing touches......a lot of finishing touches. But still.

So, by popular request, I present to you MY state of settled:

(I thought I was being pretty snazzy by putting text on my pictures......I just didn't realize it was such small text. So, you might have to double click the images to read my commentary.)

See, lots of proof that I adore brown.

Being Settled.

I appreciate you all so much.

Even though I've disappeared into the remodeling abyss, you've stood by me.

I appreciate it so much.

Thank you.

I'll be around for a visit soon.

Tuesday's Tribute-Musical Education

Tuesday's Tribute

Now's your chance to shine your light on someone else.

Musical Education.

Since the inception of Munchkins and Music, I've have a fantastic education........on a subject that I didn't realize I was so lacking. Don't get me wrong. I knew I couldn't sing, and I knew I wasn't musically inclined, but I didn't realize JUST how much I wasn't even aware of.

I don't want my children to have a deficit in this area just because I lack the talent and/or inclination to teach them in ways I would never think of.

That's why Munchkins and Music is such a great site, and one that definitely deserves a tribute today.

I would recommend bookmarking the blog, and browsing around when you have the time. QUALITY content, great ideas, expert information........your time will be well spent there.

For a recap of a post she wrote for me, go here.

Weekly, all summer long, on Carissa's blog, expect to see ways in which we can keep our kids occupied during the summer. Lolli's list has great ideas to get us started NOW that summer has begun. I have some serious angels in my family.

A miracle occurred this morning.

I slept in until 8:45 am.

This has not happened in YEARS. YEARS. Many years.

All made possible by my sister who had half of my kids over for a sleep over and my mother-in-law who took the twins for the night.

Just to be nice.

Here's to you, my miracle workers.

I'm so grateful.
