What is it?
Well, we'll tell you what it is NOT... It's Not About YOU. It's about SOMEONE ELSE. It's our chance, each of us, to shine our light on someone else.
Huh? Whaddya mean?
We each spend a lot of time talking about ourselves and our lives, but we are also fairly GIVING people too...Tuesday's Tribute is a chance to talk about OTHER people, OTHER blogs, OTHER lives.
Now's your chance to shine your light on someone else.
This week, it's imperative that I tribute the bus boy for my table at Macaroni Grill.
He deserves it. In a big way.
We left......a huge, disgusting mess.
Not on purpose though. Let me get say that up front.
My kids all have hyperactive gag reflexes. Some more than others. Jacob just happens to be the worst, and always has. As a baby if he started coughing we knew. We just knew what was coming next. Every. single. time. he'd throw up.
A few nights ago Jacob found his own antics at dinner wildly hilarious.
We did too.
Until he started coughing.
And we knew. Disaster time. We were not mistaken. Call it parents intuition, or call it a lesson well learned.
He threw up again, and again and again.
And then, LUCKILY, it was time to go (we had even paid already).
I felt badly leaving the terrible mess on the table. We were all so embarrassed.
It's a funny thing though. As soon as I walked out those doors I was relieved. Relieved that he didn't throw up in the car. Glad actually that he had done it there.
And, I felt bad for that poor guy who had to clean up the mess. Honestly though, I don't think I felt badly enough because all I could think of was that I was so glad that I didn't have to.
