PSF-End of Summer Project

Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

We're saying goodbye to summer and kicking off Autumn with a new color scheme for our exterior.

I can't wait to see the finished product. I know it's going to look fabulous. It looks fabulous already. Until then it's completely done though, this is one ornery mama.

Have I ever told you about my love/hate relationship with home renovations? It's simple.

The love part comes in when the project is completed. The hate part is every second until it's done.

Have you ever seen the movie The Money Pit?? My hubby cried when we saw it. Good luck!

I've got the same love/hate relationship. Only I think the hate is stronger - that's why we never start any projects . . .

I dread picking out colors - I just don't have a knack for it. I'm thinking of posting potential paint colors to my blog when I paint my daughters' bedroom in the next month and let the "people" pick the colors for me. I like your colors...good job!

There's your brown and taupe. I think those colors are perfect for your style house!
I like teeny tiny home renovations but the major ones like that? They're just plain icky.
Can't wait to see the finished project and *here's wishing you a speedy recovery Angie and Jeff*.

Oooh I just love the colors you choose. Now painting, not so much. But the end result is amazing.

I know exactly what you mean, hang in there!

Oh yeah, I have that feeling, too! The anticipation of seeing the finished product was so intense, sometimes it stressing (in a good way).

Here's my PSF for this week: Jenn Was Here. Happy weekends!

I love the new colors. Totally with you on the love/hate relationship.

I really like the colors. My parents are going through a home renovation and it is really getting on my nerves b/c they are always at my house. It was cool for the 1st week but not its a little annoying. I want my house back.
May your renovations go quickly.

I so hear you! I think we all have some amount of that love/hate thing. It is almost always worth it in the end though. Can't wait to see the finished product!

The color scheme looks great!

Sounds oh so familiar. I'm not so great at seeing "what could be". I oft complain (read: bitch) my way through projects with a critical eye. Then upon completion, hubby says "See?" as he serves me a side of crow.

We remodeled the only full bathroom in our house this summer. The project started in June. It's still not done yet. God bless my DIY-er husband, but I want the darn thing FINISHED already! Hang in there... I'm sure it will look great!

I forgot to mention earlier that you are lucky your husband actually finishes the projects he starts. Don't even get me started on the unfinished business around here!

I'm SO READY for Fall. I can't wait to get outside with the munchkins and actually have fun and not die of heat exhaustion! I bet your exterior looks FAB and I'm with you on the whole love/hate thing. Ha!

I love the color scheme! We are in the process of painting our main floor. One hailway has one coat. It is driving me NUTS to get it finished!!

We only have to spray paint the shutters and paint the entryway for our exterior since we have siding!

Oh, I so am needing a change! WTG on the make-over. I usually just move, which makes no sense, really. lol

Our house is a constant work in progress. I can so relate!! I keep saying one day it'll all be done. First, hubby needs more time. Second, we need more money. LOL I do love home ownership though!!

I hear you on house projects! Everything that you and Jeff have done is sooooo beautiful.... I love how nice the colors go with your bricks, well done! That is such a big challenge when there is stone or brick to choose a color scheme that does not clash. I love it!

I have a small obsession with renovating. I love every tiny bit of it. I'm weird, I know LOL.

Can't wait to see the finished house.
