Tuesday's Tribute-New Authors

Tuesday's Tribute
Yet Another Jay and Deb Production.

(Yes David. Yes! Good Boy!)

(Yes David! By Emma and Garrett a 6 yere girle a 5 yere old boy.)

(Yes David! Cep doying that!)

(Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Do that for 100 more Days!)

David Shannon (author of No, David!), I salute you.

You inspired 2 of my children to become authors and illustrators.

Plus, you've entertained us for hours.

I'm thinking that my kids are on to something here. If you'd just pass this on to your publisher, they'd be forever in your debt.

Now, when you review the book, please remember:

Correct spelling is dispensable when one can spell phonetically. That's a fact.

Depicting picking one's nose and showing one's mouth full of food is not easy.

When acrylics are not allowed in the house, pencil is a perfectly acceptable medium.

Let me know what your publisher thinks. :)

And, if it helps to sweeten the deal, I'm giving one of your books a really great review on Thursday.
Lastly, Wordful Wednesday will be published on Tuesday evenings at 9 pm Pacific time from now on.

LMAO Angie that is awesome...I have got to do that with my daughter soon...although she will only want to do a book about Arthur and stinky bunners. But maybe there's a market for that.

Awesome post!!

Brilliance!! Pure brilliance. I see big things in the future of your children. How cool will these be to have when they grow up and publish the next great American novel someday??

Cristin said...

I'd totally buy a copy of that!

Love it! Isn't David Shannon the best? Your kids' stuff isn't half bad either.

Of course I'm concerned about the lack of colors in the drawings. This could be a sign that they aren't fulfilled...

I love playing 'dumb psychiatrist'... it's a fun game.

Cute idea! Wonderful drawings!
Thanks for visiting my blog, too!
I really love that book, NO David. That author really "gets" what kids go through with us. LOL. :)

I love it! This is such a great post, and it reminded me of a little note my eldest left on my desk for me to find (of course he helpfully pointed out he had left it there for me). I'm going to post it for wordful wednesday. I hope Mr. Linky works for me then, I haven't seen any linkies since sunday. :-(

who cares about spelling... that's what they have editors for!

i am not sure what this says about me, but i didn't need your interpretation of the illustrations at the end.... i could totally see nose picking and open mouth chewing!

this was really cute! you must be so proud!

Okay, I need to stay awake until midnight and then come up with a brilliant idea for WW. Or just an idea. ;)

I love WWs!

Oh, train of thought all over the map here, my kids were given acrylics at an insanely young age but not finger paints (I know, no logic there).

Oh this was too cute! Loved it! My son is actually AFRAID of David Shannon's books because of the kid's sharp teeth! He finds them really scary looking. Your kids just captured them ... I knew even before I read who inspired it what they were inspired by! Cool!
