Let the Tea Party Begin!

I'm so glad you joined me today for the first day of the Tea Party!

*THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED*
Up for grabs today is The Abaca Tea Box. It is the ultimate gift for an eco-minded individual. That drinks tea. Plus, it has a great story.

"Each Abaca Tea Box is handcrafted by artisans in Southeast Asia . They combine wild grass and abaca plant fibers for a tree-free paper from which the box is made. The buttons are whittled out of coconut shells. Inside the six compartment box are 30 whole leaf biodegradable Tea Pouches in six flavors."

Once the box is empty (I gave my tea to friends so it was like two gifts-one for me, one for them), it makes a great jewelry box, bead box or box for desk knick-knacks. I'm LOVING mine, and it makes the perfect light weight jewelry box.

Plus, In 2007-2008 Mighty Tea Company supported the education of the children of some of the artisans as their way of partnering with them beyond the business platform.

For your chance to win, visit the Mighty Tea Company and then come back and tell me what looks the best to you from their site.

Don't forget to check in with my fellow Tea Party Hostesses for other great giveaways all week long. Some of you may have noticed the "Alice" post below.....it's all part of a fun hunt put on by Mannequin at Fractured Toy. So, be sure to check in with her to see what it's all about.

*I'm kicking off the week with some ME time.

Excuse me while I go curl up with a little Jane Austen and my favorite warm beverage.

Will it be Persuasion or Pride and Prejudice? I haven't decided, but that's the great thing about my complete Jane Austen collection. All Seven of her works are at my finger tips.

I love it so much that tomorrow I'm giving one of you a copy of her complete works.

Have any of you heard of INKA? It's an instant Polish grain beverage made with Organic barley, rye, chicory and beet roots. I LOVE it and I make the perfect cup with one tsp. of Inka, one tsp. of Splenda (sugar substitute) and a TBS. of International Delight Sugar Free French Vanilla creamer. The best part is that the filling beverage is only 20 calories!

Their Chocolate Mint Truffle Tea sounds fabulous to me. What a great gift for yourself - and others - if you can bear to part with it!
