Skin MD lotion

I have really dry skin. Really dry. In the winter, my hands and feet crack in multiple places and frequently bleed. I've tried about every lotion out there in search of the perfect treatment for my dry skin.

Over the years, I've found products that I like.......but never the perfect combination.

Skin MD comes close. I need a little more time using it to decide. The formulation I've tried has an SPF of 15, which is a must for me. It can be used on the hands, body and face. It is light, and of utmost importance to me, fragrance free. It doesn't feel oily going on, and forms a protective shield on the outer layer of the skin. It really does leave my skin feeling hydrated without being weighed down.

Skin MD is a shielding lotion. It is fragrance and colorant free. It's non comedogenic, dermatology tested, and hypoallergenic. It's also paraben free and is made of natural ingredients.

If you'd like to give Skin MD a try (and I highly suggest you do), visit http://www.skinmdnatural.com/
or call 800-540-4790 for more information and a free sample.

Hey Angie,

My sister has the same problem and passed it on to her son. Her hands were constantly cracking and bleeding her entire life as we grew up. She saw many dermatologist and none of them could help her. The she came across a prduct called Utter Butter I think. Catchy name I know, but it did wonderes for her hands and made life allot more liveable. I just thought I would mention it in case you hadnt heard of it. I will mention this product to her in case she hasnt heard of it.

Thanks, great post as always.

Tim

My legs get the most dry...mostly from the heat on the floor of my car I think. I have to continously reapply lotion throughout the day. Will definitely have to look into this..thanks

Check out this cool 109-yard FG return from my gif blog.

I am going to try this for the baby. His skin is so dry and he can't handle things with a scent.

For someone who could fry a burger on my head due to all the grease up there, the rest of my body is surely scaly this time of year. I woke up Friday night itching so badly that I slathered pure Vaseline all over my legs and hands, while still half asleep. It barely worked. Maybe I need some Skin MD. Or find a way to get the oil from my face & hair onto the rest of my person.

OK, ew...that sounds gross. I didn't mean for it to sound gross. Sorry!

p.s. Next time my pinky fingers crack & bleed I'll think of you fondly. OK, and now that sounds gross, too. Angie, I'm just gonna shut up here!

I will give it a try! My cabinets are bursting with lotion bottles. Most of them I've forgotten about. Aparently I wasn't impressed with them!

As a coach who spends most of time is time outside, lotion is a must for me. I'll have to give this a try... I usually have used the Vaseline lotion.

I have super-dry skin too. It's uncomfortable during the year but flat-out painful in the winter.
I have a hard time with lotions since they tend to be water based and not thick enough. So I usually try creams which are thicker and more moisturizing.
But I am always on the look-out for better things. I'll have to check this out. Thanks for the recommendation!

I guess I must try this since Miss B & I both won the dry skin lottery and have it too. I have gone through so many different lotions trying to find the right one.

I just got a sample of this in the mail today...I will have to see what I think. It sounds great as I too have very dry skin.

I found that my skin was always smooth and soft in Hawaii. I highly suggest moving there. That should do it. ;)

I attest to your comments. This is wonderful stuff! I saw another review at a bloggy friend's site, and bought several bottles. I'm glad I did!

Hi Angie,
I have really dry skin as well and living in Wisconsin does not help matters! Garden Girl has a hand cream that works wonders and smells incredible! Includes antioxidants to fight off free radicals and does not contain parabens or unnecessary chemicals. You can find them at http://www.gardengirlskincare.com. Good luck on your quest!

so do you need a prescription?
I have TERRIBLE exzema and so does my baby girl - we are currently using something - but can only use it a couple of days and then off again b/c it has steroids.

Oh, the joys of being a redhead!

I am in love with Aveno from Costco. Cheap and easy to get. Oh and it works... This sounds interesting too though.

Wow, sorry you have the problem where you bleed from the dryness. I won't complain about my dry heels then. But I will look into this.

This is awesome information. I think it's a William's thing, cause I have so much the same problem. Living here in Utah it really sucks! Thanks

My husband has the same problem. His fingertips will crack and bleed all winter long. The only thing that works for him is called Working Hands by O'Keeffe's. It is absolutely amazing. Really worth it. He tried everything, but this clears it up in almost a week, but there is a noticeable difference in a day (which is pretty fast, considering how bad his hands are when he starts).

I have the same problem. The only thing that works for me is Gold Bond Healing. Another thing I try to do is remain hydrated. It is hard in the winter. I mean, it's cold why would I want to drink a cold glass of water right?

Oh you're making me itch!! thanks for the tip, I'll have to order some.
