We were eating lunch on Monday and I looked out the window and saw 2 deer in our backyard. I tried to get some pictures through the window. I didn't want to scare them off by going outside, but if you double click on the picture it'll enlarge and you can see the deer peeking through the ferns. We get wildlife in our backyard, but I've never seen deer before, so this was a real treat.

That's your backyard? Wow! I heard it was impressive, but really, that's awesome! Bet the boys love the frogs, Luke would be in heaven!
I too would miss the sound of the frogs. I love that sort of thing. The sound of a river, or crickets, or any white noise really. We too have had creatures in the yard. More on the smelly side however, skunks...
So at one time we have 7 tadpoles in our bucket that Lilly carried around. 3 of them turned into full fledged froggies, and then they suddenly died!!! Then Lilly and Fiona added bunches of fresh dill from my backyard right into the bucket. It must have been a lethal combination because sadly we lost the rest. But wow, did we have a blast watching them grow! I still can't believe no one has taken a swim in your pond yet. That's amazing. We need to get together again soon!
I hope you like frogs once all those tadpoles grow up!! I do not like frogs!!! I am sure your boys will love them though!
I love your backyard!! remind me of ours in FL.
You have an awesome backyard! I remember catching tadpoles in the creek and watching them grow up. Ahh the fun of childhood :)
wow, what a fantastic backyard. sitting here in my flat in central london overlooking a busy road, a construction site and other houses, that seems like the perfect escape right now - would love to have a nature refuge like that.
